permacultureapprentice.com/resources/ Azért bemásolom ide is, hogy meglegyen, ha netalán eltűnne az a weboldal: Resources I get a lot of question about resources so I thought it would be helpful to create a resource page with a list of books, videos and courses that I can point people to. I’ll add to it as I learn more but for now, it’s really a comprehensive list. There is a lot of material here, and to be honest, I haven’t read all the book, watch all the videos or took all the courses but everything I included in the list comes highly recommended from the people in the permaculture community. I recommend bookmarking this site for your reference. Enjoy! THE BIG PICTURE Many people don’t know that Permaculture as a design system specifically evolved over the last 30 years to creatively respond to futures that involve progressively less and less available energy. Its emergence was very much influenced by the publication of the seminal Limits To Growth report in 1972, both Bill Mollison and David Holmgren believed that permaculture was going to be projected into a collapsing world…the books and websites below are a great starting point if you want to learn more about where we’re headed as a society and what to expect. Books: Future Scenarios: How Communities Can Adapt to Peak Oil and Climate Change Crash on Demand: Welcome to the Brown Tech Future The Crash Course: The Unsustainable Future Of Our Economy, Energy, And Environment Abundance: The Future Is Better Than You Think The Inevitable: Understanding the 12 Technological Forces That Will Shape Our Future The Carbon Farming Solution: A Global Toolkit of Perennial Crops and Regenerative Agriculture Practices for Climate Change Mitigation and Food Security Prosper!: How to Prepare for the Future and Create a World Worth Inheriting When Technology Fails: A Manual for Self-Reliance, Sustainability, and Surviving the Long Emergency, 2nd Edition The Collapse of Complex Societies (New Studies in Archaeology) Websites: Peak Prosperity: Crash Course National Intelligence Council Global Trends 2030: Alternative Worlds Future Scenarios by David Holmgren INTRODUCTION TO PERMACULTURE If you’re new to permaculture start by reading Gaia’s Garden, this is the best introductory book for the newcomers, and watch some free videos from Geoff Lawton to get an idea what’s possible with permaculture. Brief introduction to permaculture course is great for getting some background on the whole subject. All these books are a great read especially practical insights of Sepp Holzer and Ben Falk. Books: Introduction to Permaculture Revised Edition The One-Straw Revolution: An Introduction to Natural Farming Gaia’s Garden: A Guide to Home-Scale Permaculture, 2nd Edition The Resilient Farm and Homestead: An Innovative Permaculture and Whole Systems Design Approach Sepp Holzer’s Permaculture: A Practical Guide to Small-Scale, Integrative Farming and Gardening Restoration Agriculture: Real-World Permaculture for Farmers Videos: Geoff Lawton’s free videos Sepp Holzer the agro rebel video (free) INHABIT: A Permaculture Perspective – website for the video Design for life: Permaculture – The Food Forest Story Restoration Agriculture in Practice Courses (Free): A Brief Introduction to Permaculture Professor Will Hooker: Introduction to Permaculture PERMACULTURE DESIGN First and fourth most you’ll need A Designers Manual, this is the permaculture bible. Then watch Bill Mollison Permaculture Lecture Series, these are the videos taken from his two design courses. Another great resource is Permaculture Skills DVD which distills 20 days of Permaculture Courses into 7.5 hours of instructional video learning. In this list, I also included some apps and software that you can use for your designs. If you feel stuck I have written a guide on How to design your property where I explain the process of Permaculture Design, step by step.
